Breaking The Ice

March has arrived marking the return of Float Flying. While the Northern routes remain frozen, the Southern routes are beginning to see the Spring thaw. 63A (Roundtree Seaplane Facility) is the Seaplane Base associated with the Petersburg Hub (PAPG). Float operations are now open out of this base. The trips feature the DHC-2 Beaver on floats and the Seastar. The Seastar is a freeware download from the website and the Beaver is payware. If you don't have a beaver, feel free to substitute in any float plane you like. Come down south and experience some of the finest float flying around. The routes are especially scenic for those with the Tongass and Misty add-ons.
